The pain on Adam's face as he thinks of an Uncharted without Drake was so funny.
I wasn't happy about there being no female FFXV player characters, but considering how big Iris, Cindy, and Luna are and that the main cast is so small compared to the 7-15 playable characters of other games, and they all have to fit in a car, it's not crazy.

Let's face it, Off Topic doesn't talk about games that much. Funhaus predetermines a topic and sticks to it in Dude Soup, and often deals with deeper industry issues and can become slightly stressful. I think The Patch is fine how it is, more light-hearted and mellow. But Game Club definitely made it unique. Maybe spinning off that, talk about retro and/or lesser-known stuff like in the post-show? Ashley could have her chance to talk about FFX in-depth, or Gus could talk about Geoff stealing KOTOR 2 from him.
I don't remember the last time they legitimately talked about video games on Off Topic. It's essentially just an Achievement Hunter flavored RT Podcast, and Funhaus goes really in-depth and hard on the intricacies of the industry and moral dilemma this and philosophical approach that, and sometimes that's a bit too overwhelming for me. I love the chill video game discussion that The Patch has.
What I hope LOU 2 does is try and add more in terms of gameplay. Nothing about the actual game that I played really stuck with me at all. Even the stealth sections felt like they were on rails and there was only one way to get through it.
It's a problem I have with all Naughty Dog games. Every encounter feels exactly the same and are only there so the developers can say, "Hey! Look at this cool cutscene we made! Cool right?!". If LOU2 can show off something that actually looks fun to PLAY then maybe I'll be singing a different tune. Otherwise just make the movie you've always wanted to make and stop shoehorning in clunky gameplay elements that are not fun to play.
I like the patch just how it is, and I love the name as is ._. Also, I like how it's now the one podcast Gilby is on because you can never get enough Gilby since How To stopped.
I guess the retooling might explain why Game Cub's gone maybe? Sad that this is going away for a while though
Well it's a good thing I haven't gotten FF15 yet, I can wait until they make the patchs for a game that wasn't really on my radar until a few weeks ago.
I hope The Patch comes back bigger & better than ever. I will literally never stop crying if it goes the way of Screen Play & Sportsball.
