Trading is here for Pokemon Go. An adult anime game has been cancelled in the west after PlayStation blocked it from its digital store. The sixth villain for Spider-man was accidentally spoiled by a voice actor.
@SavageAran Ditto. I've also never been a fan of how you have to essentially cannibalize duplicates in order to level up you Pokemon instead of, oh I don't know, actually having your Pokemon level up from experience gained when battling? Like in the actual games?
I'm excited for Pokemon Let's Go, but I honestly think you don't need to play Pokemon Go to get a full experience out of it, and the connection to Pokemon Go itself is more tangential than people may think. After all, the purpose of Let's Go is to bring Go players back into the mainline Pokemon console games with Gen 8 due out after Let's Go.
@SavageAran current speculation is that is probably the next big step! if Pokemon are being ported into Let's Go they'll probably need to resemble main series Pokemon much more closely (4 moves, less simplified stats, natures, etc)
probably not gonna pick up pokemon go again. Just not that interesting anymore and besides, if im out walking im most likly with friends and talking with them
Just to set the tone, i played Pokemon Go daily since launch until about Christmas 2017. They kept adding features to keep interest but honestly I've thoroughly lost interest and these latest Let's Go and trading announcements aren't enough to draw me back, especially after seeing the level of restriction on trading. Why would I trade my collection of high IV mons if they just get nerfed? And I've got no interest in 'Shiny's' which is all the events seem to focus on now.
Never stopped playing GO, (have been a dedicated player since launch with a handful of breaks) but every time these big updates come out I get super excited and play a bunch! Lots of sunburn from and sore feet from this weekend, and the rest of the community in my city does the same; it's always super cool getting that wave of first week nostalgia with people exploring and speculating on the new features.
