It’s hard to hear about the shooting. I live in Jacksonville and I’ve been downtown many times but due to the recent violence I can’t see myself living here much longer. Its hard to hear so many people talking about my town and the places I know, sadly jacksonville will know have this horrible memory attached to it.

@Thedarkassassin15 I'm from Jacksonville and was there a month ago visiting. Good luck, hopefully JSO and the Mayor can really curb this violence, because Jacksonville can be a great place quite often.

@DontMaskTruth thanks man. It’s honestly not safe anymore, finding out that Jax is now the murder capital of the state just made things even harder.

Really did not like the coverage of the shooting in this. Not that it should not be covered by you guys but I think you could have done a little better to highlight the victims and the survivors and a little less on the shooter did not know his name or handle till I watched your coverage would have preferred not to.

I love you guys and you usually report on difficult topics so tastefully and respectful but I'm also really disappointed by this coverage. I know your intention isn't to give the shooter notoriety but this crazed psycho should not of been named. Rest in peace Elijah and Taylor. Two young lives taken just like that whilst doing something they loved. It's a sick and twisted world I just hope they weren't in any pain. :(

WILDLY disappointed in your coverage of the shooting. Are you guys proud of the fact that you are using your platform to make this fucking monster famous? There are plenty of ways to cover this story tastefully and you dodged every one of them. Even putting his face in the fucking thumbnail? So much respect was lost this day.

@Free_Contentman 1) This is complete nonsense. “You shouldn’t talk about the perpetrator at all” is nonsense made up by people on YouTube, not something that is used by the actual media, and 2) the face on the thumbnail is not that of the shooters’, and I would wonder what could possibly give you that idea...

@maka556 Stop dick riding. Did I say you shouldn't mention the monster at all? No, I did not. You can talk about him without giving him a name, a face, a platform to become famous. We can start the discussion about mental health, or gun reform or whatever nonsense you can come up with WITHOUT his name or face. I was unfortunately mistaken about the thumbnail but I clicked out of the video right when I heard the guys name. The picture is of a man I hadn't seen with other coverage where they only talked about the victims (leading me to believe it was a picture of the gunman). Either way the manner in which this story was covered is inappropriate. Full stop.

@Free_Contentman The shooter is white. Every news outlet rightfully identified the shooter. You should probably stop doubling down.
