The managing director at Ubisoft Quebec speaks out about crunch, Xbox's Game Pass service is finally coming to PC, the live action Halo TV series begins production in June of 2019, and more!
The Halo series was announced at the same press conference as the Xbox One. 6 years from announcement to principal photography. That has to be a new record
Ubisoft is creatively bankrupt. The Assassins creed series has been a copy paste job with 1 new gameplay mechanic and a new setting for years. Also see all the rest of their games. The only team thats "creative" at ubisoft is the one that figures out how to get the worst microtransactions into a game with the least amount of consumer anger. Its not out until tomorrow of course but from everything Ive seen so far Red Dead Redemption 2 looks like its going to set a new video game standard for immersion, animation, storytelling, depth, and detail. At least a couple of those. So color me surprised that the company trying has a crunch and thr company that isnt doesnt have a crunch. Please dont let this be a thing companys brag about before releasing games.
@moldyscroteRT cut me off in the app. Final sentences were: Color me surprised that the company that is trying has a crunch and the company that isnt doesnt. Please dont let this be a thing campanies brag about before releasing a game.
@moldyscrote Everything in this post is complete nonsense, but you go and cape for companies that abuse their employees by forcing them to work long hours without compensation.
@moldyscroteyou obviously haven't played either of the 2 new AC games. they are both significantly different than their predecessors. Saying that black flag was the se as ac 3, or ac 1 was the same as ac 2.1, 2 or 3 is ridiculous.
@moldyscrotealso, even if they were not good or innovative, to then toss that out as evidence that you have to treat your employees poorly to get good games is selfish and short sighted
