@FyrothWhat about the health benefits that come from working and exercising? Games are great, yes, but you need a balance or its all bad with either option. And maybe some people just like athletics and not games. Maybe they'd rather be out playing a sport themself that playing it on a game.

@BricBracExercise addiction has been around longer than gaming addiction and can be just as bad for you as never exercising. The point I was trying to make is that you can spend just as much of your time on doing that, and only that, as someone can spend on gaming. But, because of our culture, it's just fine to completely ignore your education to play a sport that most people will never be able to take to a level where they make money off of it, but not to do the same with gaming. Not to mention all the long-term adverse effects on the body and mind that come with any contact sport.
