my favorite of Hiromasa Yonebayashi films are the one's that he was the Producer of Castle in the Sky 1986 & Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind 1984

I feel like a fake Ghibli fan, the only Takahata work I've seen being Fireflies. But just seeing any of his films is enough to blow you away with his artistic genius. We'll miss you, Paku-San ❤️

My fave Ghibli film is Howls moving castle, however Mr Takahata was not involved in that... Grave of the fireflies is probably the most i've cried during a film. Also planning on watching Kaguya-hime no monogatari. Rest in peace director-san

It's hard to choose... either Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (even though it actually pre-dates Ghibli) or Princess Mononoke
