Claims that Microsoft is planning to release a discless Xbox One continue to roll in, EA's stock takes a big dip due to Battlefield V's delay, Tetsuya Nomura denies the claims that the FF7 Remake making progress, and more!
@magicman111 I can't imagine that you would be able to keep the disc. Everyone would abuse that and get multiple codes per disc. At least if you are someone who likes to collect, you could still keep any boxes or special edition swag.
@Grimviewi love it too man, I tried the same thing on a reddit thread and ppl actually down voted me like 50 karma. how aren't ppl more upset about this?
@TRSChaos I think they would just sell download codes on cards, or maybe they would still produce cases for those who want to buy the collectible. That is basically what many games do right now anyway. the new COD, for instance, has less than 500mb on the disc itself, when you put it is it downloads the entire 50gb game.
they damn well better not go discless, downloading a game takes so damn long (upwards of a day-two days in some cases) compared to just going to EB games and getting a physical copy. Not to mention as a blu-ray player.
@JWL7 I very much agree. This feels like the kind of thing that they say they want to do for attention and not deliver on because it's either a terrible idea or won't feasible anytime soon. Honestly I wish they'd do away with the installing to the console thing, because even that arguably takes longer then it needs too.
