Eh, I don't think the idea of placing the next Assassin's Creed game in Ancient Greece makes a lot of sense considering the in-game canon. Origins took place in Ptolemaic Egypt around 48 BC; the same time that the Roman Empire was on the rise, and it is in this game that the Assassin Order, and all of its traditions, were started (hence "Origins"). Yet the time period of Ancient Greece would pre-date ALL of this by hundreds of years. Why undercut all of the origin story efforts of your previous game to say, "Nah, Origins wasn't the real start of the Assassins. Some guy in Ancient Greece beat them to the punch and was killing dudes way before Bayek and Aya/Amunet did"?
It just doesn't make logical sense. A precursor Assassin just isn't a true "Assassin."
shhhhhhh greece
