that captain dynamic fade had me freaking out at first
Was itching to say Agents of Mayhem then got its honourable mention at the end. it's the battle borne of this year
Friendly reminder that Bioware said they could give Andromeda a few more months and people were like "No, release it now!"
Well in the 6 months they "supported it" and fixed some problems, it didn't help the game very much. So them taking more time to do what they did in that time frame wouldn't have actually helped it very much save people not bashing it so hard. People still would have complained about the game because it's not technically where it needed to be. And story wise it was kind of lacking to begin with, especially due to them taking the A-team and moving them to anthem (not entirely sure of all the behind the scenes stuff honestly). A lot of the bugs were the same bugs that were present in Inquisition, specifically quests in the menu and items still showing exclamations and things along those lines. That were fixed in Inquisition I might add, but are still present to some extent in Andromeda. I liked Andromeda, and love Mass Effect, but it seems like they put all the effort into anthem and sent this game out to die.
@0brady0 It certainly does feel like that, but what would've helped is releasing single-player DLC and not focusing all future development on their microtransaction mode. It's a damn single-player game from a single-player company, and continuing the story in comics violates Bioware's "we'll never define a single canon or say what gender a protagonist is" stance. I loved Andromeda, I think it has the best gameplay in the series when it works correctly, but Bioware's just a husk, pun intended, of what they used to be.
@DavidtheWavid They should have continued supporting past the six months they did period. But yeah, I can only hope Dragon Age doesn't suffer the same. Definitely Won't pre-order Bioware games anymore.
Adam, I’m curious, have you finished Nioh? Honestly, I was into it until the limits of their budget/creativity started showing. This isn’t really a spoiler, but if anyone does not want to know anything about Nioh, you can skip the rest of my comment.
About halfway through, you have seen every non-boss enemy the game has to provide. And since they can’t provide more variety, they throw waves of enemies at you. That is made even more insulting by the last few side missions that come down to, “hey, you beat these earlier bosses, why not fight two at once”.
Of course, part of my problem is that I experienced button lag. And before anyone says it, I never complained about button lag in any Souls/Borne game, and I was using the same system. Plus, the game is either glitchy or it has weird/stupid boss mechanics. Certain insta-kill attacks either have their windup time shortened as the boss fight progresses, or the game just can’t render it properly (it is a very busy game).
Nioh is one of my favorite games that came out this year aswell as being one of my favorite souls-like games to date, and i have to completely agree, especially with the side-quest comment. After finishing the game, extending even to the first DLC, Team Ninja just has you kill earlier bosses but THEY GROUPED UP.
Up until the first DLC i was set on 100% the game, but after seeing that shit i just decided to finish it and be done with it.
Minor Spoiler: It was especially annoying when you finish the first DLC Main Quest and you get a new side quest on how the boss you just killed was a clone, so go kill him again, the exact same way, with the same movement, nothing different.
Still reccomend the game to people who like the souls-borne series, the games good, with cool mechanics and an interesting enough story, just hate the bull-shit side missions that they padded the end-game with
Honestly every game I played that came out this year were great. I haven't played this yet but if I did I'd pick WWE 2K18 as the worst game for 2017 that I've got.
everything said about need for speed is true. ive put a lot of hours into it and im about at the end of the story and i cant progress because i dont have enough money to upgrade the cars and there is no easy way to obtain it.
GIT GUD LAWBREAKERS
Free seasonal DLC and its 40% off rn, Battlefront 2 is actually worth picking up if you're a big star wars fan because the grind is pretty much gone, I got every hero except leia and palpatine within a few hours of gameplay. Only caviat is the lack of server browser/squad system like Ryan said, and the fact that the hitbox on the skinny as fuck separatist droids seems to be mapped exactly to their model so they're very hard to hit.
at around 55:30 you guys talk about Need for speed and the random boxes for new parts. I agree its stupid. however it would have been great if it was buy the part you want, or buy a cheaper box and hope to get it, gotta love me some gambling. xD
you guys should check out the indie game "For The King". its on Steam. it is 3 player recomended, you can play it solo and controll 3 characters but the best experience is playing it with 2 other friends! :)
I love the goofy shit broadcast does that none of the cast notices.
