My view on the bethesda launcher fallout 76 thing is that, im sure the analysts at bethesda (publisher) have looked at the advantages and growing acceptance of publisher specific clients (origin, battle net, uplay, epic games launcher, etc), and have decided that they will probably still sell enough units to cover the gap by any lost sales caused by moving from steam to make it more attractive than paying steam their cut. Also fallout 76 also is the perfect game to launch this platform as they can use the excuse of multiplayer support/ multiplayer mod support will be made possible by using a bethesda first party client. Seems like a smart move to me, and im sure that in the future even more major publishers will begin to move away from steam on PC
