Love Glitch Please, I look forward to this show every week :)
Technically you guys mentioned a crossover game this episode. The Fate series is a part of the Nasuverse, a shared universe of most Type Moon works. That is why Fate/Grand Order is going to allow you to summon Shiki (from Garden of Sinners), and characters from different Fate universes.
I know that it is not exactly what you are talking about, but worth mentioning.
One crossover game I've always wanted to see is a Smash Brothers style game featuring DC and Marvel characters. Odds are it'll never happen, but this is probably the perfect time for it to happen.
That was the most bizarre series of discussions dancing around the topic of tactical-RPGs, referencing SO many games for comparison, while not making any mention whatsoever about the most obvious, popular, longest running(?) tactical RPG series out there, that practically established the genre, Fire Emblem. Nearly every time they brought up a unique game mechanic, I just kept thinking, "Fire Emblem did that... Fire Emblem did that...". I almost feel angry about it because of incredibly relevant it would've been to the overall discussion, but I know I shouldn't be. They just didn't know any better...
On the topic of franchise mashup games, I think they're fine. They're pretty much just as hit-and-miss as any other game out there, so they may as well have fun with it, making entertaining world-coliding character interactions. I've played both of the Project X-Zone games that Peyton briefly mentioned towards the end. Objectively, they really aren't that great, but I'd call'em a guilty pleasure of mine. When a character like Segata Sanshiro jumps into a fight to help out characters like Megaman, Phoenix Wright, KOS-MOS, Kite, and Lucina take on enemies like M. Bison, Lord Raptor, and Nemesis-T Type all at the same time, you can't help but smile and throw your hands in the air acknowledging how absurd, stupid, and awesome the situation is.
If it means anything, I'm a big Fire Emblem fan and because X-Com has so many minor differences, I didn't connect them in my head until you brought it up.
26:25 No one there noticed Ryan's 'Heroes and Halfwits' joke.
Never played Half Life or read anything about it....now Gus's name makes sense
@Chad1888 Actually Half Life took the name for the 'Aurora Borealis', or the northern lights.
Yeah I thought it was just a play on the name for the northern lights, which just seemed like a weird thing to base a name on. But knowing it's something from Half Life, which Gus is a fan of, make his choice make more sense
Instead of just three separate pip-boy camoes bethesda could have helped form a mod that let you change the pip-boy on the fly with materials you find in the wasteland. That is a mod idea that i haven't seen yet, most pip-boys colors mods are replacers and don't have the ability to change it. The camoes as they are now are the same as nexus replacers, they needed to make a new workstation that customizes your pipboy to make the idea with anything so you have more functionality. but unfortunately modders are hobbyists as well as artists, so they don't really make much money. The bonus about mods are that they make great additions to your portfolio while looking for work in the video game industry.
It's so cute how Mica calls the entire ST:TNG cast "uncle"/"family". :3
Re: crossovers: Trials of the Blood Dragon was fairly amusing. And Jack Pattillo had a small voice part in it.
So many laughters in this episode. I want a Switch even more now so I can play Mario + Rabbids; I am all on that hype train. That Star Trek slander is just unholy for so many reasons . I am excited about the FFXV/ AC crossover as that's two stories I'm eager to see merge.
Love this show. The Know is my fave non-animation part of the RT family. Y'all are the best!
