I haven’t felt that Odyssey has been grindy at all. The game throws a lot of xp at you for doing basic things. Also, I wonder where Ashley is.
Also, enemies flash red when they Power Attack (the un-blockable stuff). You can easily cut a Power Attack short by Spartan kicking them, and if you don't have Spartan Kick equipped what are you even doing?
@maka556 I cannot understand how people think Odyssey is grindy at all either! I keep coming up against this 'complaint' and I just don't understand what they're doing. It's like they're not going to the boards and picking up the contracts and small side quests. I must've been max level for the last quarter of the main story quests.
@EkutahI haven't played the game, but I think the complaint is you can't beat the game just by playing the main quest. Some people don't like doing the side-quests and so they consider it grindy to need to do them, whereas for others doing side-quests is a natural part of playing the game and don't consider it a grind.
I've been interested in Starlink since last E3 and I don't care about any of these other toy games. I have some Disney Infinity figures on my desk just because they're cheap but that's it. Come on, spaceship collectibles! It's awesome. Shush.
@fakenerdscout You are one creepy person. Let's be real, if somebody was commenting in every video Ashley was in talking about how hot she was the response would be very different.
@maka556I asked him and he was okay with it and even follows me on twitter. Asking first goes a long way. if he doesnt like it he can communicate which he hasnt and he still follows me. I wouldnt do it without asking first and would stop if they asked me to. its that easy
Am I abnormally good at the game? I can beat people a level above me in Assassin's Creed. I just play it like God of War, Dodge poke repeat. Unless there's a cliff I can kick them off.
Also there's a heal ability that you can spam long as you aren't fighting ten people
@Miamimike You're not. I can generally kill mercenaries a level higher than me, nevermind normal mooks. Fire or poison dots are great, Spartan Kick interrupts power attacks, and don't pick a fight with a dozen people at the same time.
Sounds like Jon is abnormally bad at the game, really.
@Miamimikei assume the fightings like origins. if so i was fighting all the phylakis at level 35, even though alot of them are higher than that. its just dodge, spam dual swords, dodge, use ability, repeat

@Audiocrackyeah i didn't play origins, in fact only reason i can play odessy is because i got into the project stream beta. But your description sounds about right.
Though the dodge is incredibly frustrating in odessy. Idk what's up with it.
@Gus Starlink was an OK game. Took me about 25 hours to beat it. I was over leveled when I battled against the boss at the end. Some of the puzzles can only be solved with certain elements. Somewhat forcing you to buy the other weapon packs. Also you can't play physically and use the weapons digitally.
