In response to the last question, I think it's good to take a moment and stop consuming media. But one thing that helps me get through the podcasts and videos I want to listen to is doing that at work. I understand not everyone has a job that allows them to play music or podcasts, but that's just a tip. Or like Mica said, multiplayer matches or long grinds. But keep in mind that multitasking does have an effect on your concentration. I've been watching movies and TV while working on animation projects, but recently stopped doing that and my productivity tripled even though I never noticed it stopping me. Everyone's different, and every situation is different. But let's appreciate how amazing it is that there's TOO MUCH media for us to watch in a day. That's crazy.
"Please Sir, I Want Some More?"
"MORE???"
"Oh C'mon Sir, Glitch Please, I Want Some More!!!"
"Do I understand that he asked for more?"
"He did, sir."
"That boy will be hung."
yeah in the past they have had strokes of genius, this time they just had a stroke.
Take a look at the url
In terms of game downloads - I'm in the UK and while our speeds are not rural level, they are slower than the States. I have a number of updates on my PS4 just paused because they're for old games I'm not playing any more (I think there's a Witcher 3 update that's over 20gb alone). I don have a capped internet or anything, but it would still take hours for those to download. Same goes for physical vs digital games - I think in the States the prices are much the same, but in the UK, a brand new physical game bought off Amazon, for example, day of release would be £10-15 cheaper than buying the digital version from the Playstation Store (I believe it's same sort of story on the Xbox). Why would you buy digital when there's such a price difference? I understand the convenience of not putting in a disc etc, but those savings over 2 or so games would let you buy a whole other game to play.
I just barely realized its supposed to be like "bitch please" lol
It took me a few times, until I heard Ashley say it
yep the new doom update screwed me, i was trying to make my last 50gb stretch another week for next month for my uni internet which works prepaid (i normally buy 1 tb for 160 aud (125usd)) which has one month rollover eg if i buy it on the 1st it will last for 60 days.
but doom did a quick update (100mgps connection) and chewed through half of it before i noticed.
before i went to uni my home internet connection was 20gb a month through mobile.
also physical games are just plain cheaper than steam because of the aud to usd
In reference to best way to play retro games question, if you're going to go with the old consoles and want to get the best picture quality out of the old systems there's a great YouTube channel that covers the best ways for a lot of systems, and they're covering more and more: https://www.youtube.com/mylifeingaming
Listening to all of you talking about your general lack of nostalgia for the Atari made me feel so old o.O Thanks guys ;)
Watchdogs battle royal
If the n64 classic comes out, I know I'm not getting one. I still have my n64 console and still play to this day. Works great :)
I don't really understand them criticizing what they played of Destiny 2. It's not a demo. It's not meant to hook you in with all the new content. It's a BETA TEST. They want us to play it, break it, push servers to their limits, see what works and what doesn't so they can pull in data for tweaking or re-working. So many people treat these things like they're a demo and it's frustrating when people go into it with that mindset then complain about not seeing all the new stuff. It irks me in the same way as people joining the Preview Program on Xbox One and then bitching when some of the stuff/changes don't work right or that they're getting too many updates. That's the point. You're testing things so when the product goes into actual release, it's better than it was in BETA.
Yeah I mean they know that, I think they're just big fans, at least half of them are and just want to see it all.
I realize this is a month late but someone has to be vocal because like you said they need to improve stuff and if everyone finished the beta and said "looks great lets go" then nothing will be changed/
