Nintendo Hacks Are Worse Than We Thought

I have a Switch, Wii U, and 3DS. I use one account for my 3DS and Wii U(My 3DS is rarely ever connected to the internet), and another account for my Switch. I also never had my card info saved. Nintendo has its flaws like every game/console dev, and they seemingly have no clue how business works half the time, but they've been pretty good about this for a long while now. Yeah, their estimates and assumptions were wrong, but when has a company been quick AND accurate when it came to this sort of thing? Wagging a finger at Nintendo when basically every major company does this, is kinda ridiculous. Just check your payment history/bank statements regularly(takes like, a minute to do), check your emails, and don't ever save your CC info. If you're using a service that doesn't let you opt out of that(like Sony), they'll still delete that info if you ask them to. And there is little-to-no reason I can think of to sync your Wii U and/or 3DS account with your Switch. When I got my Switch, I immediately decided to make a separate account on it, as I saw literally no benefit to slapping my other account onto yet another device. Stay safe everyone, and don't expect big companies to handle this shit perfectly. It's difficult and more complicated than you may realize, and even if it wasn't, none ever handle breaches like this one flawlessly. Just be smart and avoid any obvious huge openings in security like saving CC details.
