Two big names and lead developers at Bioware have recently submitted their resignation and now everyone is wondering exactly what is up at the studio. Casey Hudson was Bioware’s General Manager and Mark Darrah was the executive producer on the next big Dragon Age game. Big games like the kind they make at Bioware are obviously made by a lot of people but with two high profile industry veterans leaving at the same has has certainly turned a few heads. Is the Anthem reboot not going smoothly? Is the next Dragon Age gonna be alright? Will there ever be another Mass Effect game? We’re pondering all these hard hitting questions and more on today’s edition of Inside Gaming Daily!

Just here in the comments to say Greg Ellis is a TERF and it has been heart warming to watch the Dragon Age community come together to absolutely dump on his ass
Hey guys! Loved the episode, but I did want to make sure you knew that Patrick Weekes, the Dragon Age writer you reference, actually goes by they/them pronouns and identifies as nonbinary!
I understand you might not know, but you misgendered them several times in the video, so I wanted to bring it to your attention and the attention of Bioware/Dragon Age fans who also might not be aware. Stay well! <3
The hulling out of studios is the same thing that always happens with EA acquisitions, whether the dev's name survives or not is mostly chance but the original devs that made the studio great almost all leave... it happened in the nineties (e.g. Bullfrog) and it still happens now... amusingly the Bullfrog devs created Lionhead which was bought by Microsoft and the devs left again to create Molecule (I think?) which was bought by Sony where they stayed... which probably says something but without interviewing them, I'm not sure what but clearly Sony was the right for those guys.
This sort of thing is remarkably common when studios get bought by some publishers, EA having a history literally built on the bodies of other studios and (importantly to them) owning the rights to franchises - something that is painfully clear from EAs (successful) output.
As someone who didn't watch the old Inside Gaming, I can say that Inside Gaming is exactly the same as ever for me! Better, even, because I watch it now!
