@TEL0S Because it's easier to blame something else when you dropped the ball. We've all done it, whether we didn't finish homework when we were younger and made an excuse, or didn't get chores done and make an excuse. Anything to try and shift the blame from us to something else, and allow us a little bit more leeway. It's what they are doing here. They thought it was good, maybe they even tried to get by on cutting a few corners, underestimated how fans were able to quickly pick up on how the graphics did NOT look good for a next gen title. Best thing to do: Delay it and blame a pandemic that's already affecting a bunch of places. People will question it, sure, but they won't be able to prove it's because of the pandemic or because they decided they really needed to work on the graphics. It's a good shift of the blame to get more work on the game done.
