Publisher lied about Control Ultimate Edition

Control and 505 Games are back in the news because as it turns out, giving everyone a free upgrade for pretty much the same game they already bought - isn’t that hard after all. That’s right, originally the publisher of Control, 505 Games, claimed that if you wanted the cool new updates for the game you would need to pony up another sixty bucks to make it happen. They sited that Control Ultimate Edition is more or a less completely new build so it would be too hard to just give everyone the improvements for free via something like Xbox’s smart delivery.
