Really disheartened by their dismissiveness of Forever Broncos. I also fail to see how it is “peak ‘Murcia” as Lawrence called it. Overall not happy with their response to the move by ESPN, they dismiss a tragedy because it isn’t the one they want to focus on. I would have also preferred the Apex tournament to be aired, but, again don’t like their response to Forever Broncos being aired instead
@Beetheman pretty sure it was meant to be they won't air the apex tournament over nonsense but instead will air an actual tragedy that happened because it didn't involve guns
@Beetheman the point is that the pulled the Apex tournament because of a gun tragedy. and now they are playing a documentary about an actual real life tragedy, because that's better as it doesn't involve guns?
@boomer62 Bro that table you posted goes against your argument. In that table it shows 15,129 homicides with 10982 of them done by firearms which is 73% of homicides by firearms...maybe look at the table first. Only 10% of homicides are by knives.
@Dragonzlucas no no no, he said specifically semi-automatic rifles. That’s all that matters right? I mean it’s not true in Georgia and this data’s from 2017 but I really think he’s on to something guys
THis sickens me, instead of trying to pass the blame on games or anything else why not put systems in place to look for the warning signs of mental illness. There is a way to prevent a good bit of these, pay a little closer attention, I have been a gamer for over 20 years, I am also diagnosed with mental illness. I have never once had the urge to go on a killing spree.
@Hammlet It's a very touchy situation especially as a firearm owning American. Even though I agree with certain aspects of gun control, I am still ridiculed for owning firearms.
@Hammlet The not being able to buy butter knives under 18 is pretty insane from the outside looking in. I grew up in an area with a high level of guns and we didn't have these sorts of problems. I'm not going to say access to guns is good for everyone, but the idea behind "shoot the school up" is a very urban thing and speaks more to societal problems than just 'he like guns'. Somehow in the rural areas of America these issues don't seem to pop up, but in large cities they captivate the news. Again, not saying nothing can be done, just pointing out that there's people living their whole lives outside of this issue that seem to get along without trying to murder eachother through whatever means are at hand.
For as dark as everything can get don’t worry it will end and it healing will begin. And for anyone worried about games getting banned don’t because not only is the industry very successful but any other attempts to do so failed and one of the people who tried was Arnold swarzenager (sorry for not spelling it right)!
