The decision to have to do one on one arbitration actually screws over the companies. Instead on one large court case, they now have to deal with potentially thousands and they're usually on the hook for paying for it. Granted, they screwed over themselves, but many aren't particularly happy about it.

I do appreciate the nostalgia of a skyping in a host, and I have no issues with Brian. But the shitty skype audio is hard to understand at times and kind of distracting. Is it at all possible for him to record audio with an actual mic and do the call simultaneously, then have an editor replace the skype audio captured on set with his personal audio? Kinda like how radio stations do phone interviews.

In other words... Geoff should be afraid for his job given the amount of inappropriate actions made on "film" or stories recanted on podcasts about office antics right? No? Ok double standards and whatnot... (Yes I realize they pointed at themselves regarding this topic... get over yourself if you feel that needs to be pointed out again... it doesn't matter the point still stands.)

@Moon_Apples Why do you think they Geoff is in less and fewer videos, they are trying to get Matt in more, Alfredo in more, Fiona in more. If you honestly think that Geoff, Matt, Gus, and Burnie don't sit there every once in a while, looking at how they are a 'Crazy Internet Company'. You are dead wrong. They know the double standard and the odds of it backfiring in their face is not an ignored reality. If you apply for a job in RT or AH or any of these fields they offer. They sit you down and explain WITH VIDEO EVIDENCE of the crazy things they do to themselves for content... It doesn't go over their heads and they aren't unaware of the double standard. ANY OF THEIR PODCASTS, 75% of their shows are insane unrealistic ridiculousness on purpose, and yet I can almost promise you they are aware all it would take is some few people with a stick completely rammed up their butt even though they were warned and are regularly asked before ever being sent into a crazy awkward situation if they are okay with it. But here is the thing, why it's not EXACTLY an equal double standard. Because RT, AH, all of these companies are classified as a Video Internet Entertainment company first and foremost, not what Riot is which is a Video Game Developer. So acting like it's all under the entertainment basket is actually very dishonest and the point doesn't still stand under that exact viewpoint. Furthermore, most people aren't actually brought in on the camera if they aren't comfortable with it, the Rwby editing team is like what? 25-50 Editors?! None of them I know a single name of nor are ever infront of a camera. They didn't sign up for that type of work load. So some people in RT do have a similar stand point BUT not Geoff, nor any of the main names and faces of the Entertainment company we know and love. So again, the point doesn't fully stand with 'your' provided example.

ZipRecruiter is great! I signed up and had an interview and job offer within a week. The job I applied for was specifically recommended by ZR through a text one afternoon. When I applied, the company said they had only posts the position that morning and liked how quickly I had jumped on the opportunity. Pretty impressive.

Love seeing the cite to Justicia, but it’s disturbing how often sexual harassment and assault cases are ending up in arbitration. That’s one thing you might want dealt with in a court of law, with a public record attached to the outcome.

It seems some of the more emotional comments about the Double Standard at RT are missing a factor: consent. At various times on the RT Podcast, employees have talked about being brought into the HR offices and having discussions about what is appropriate for content and not. One example is Gavin talking about Michael hitting him in videos and Burnie stopping the conversation to ask if he would like to have a discussion with HR. Gavin says no. The difference is consent. Saying "all words and actions are off limits" is too broad a stroke. What if 2 married people work at the same company and kiss each other during lunch? Is that grounds for correction? In the end, and in my opinion, the larger point being made is that people need to be given the ability to bring corporations to court to *determine* fault. Remember "innocent until proven guilty"? Getting sued doesn't mean a person is bad, just that a question of ethics and law was asked. My mom summed it up nicely when I was a kid "if everyone isn't having fun, it's not fun. And if everyone is having fun, have fun."
