I think it would be cool to play as Zelda or Zelda and Link I'm a bit skeptical will get it for anything other than a few story beats like where you play as peach in the 2 orginal Paper Mario games. Better idea. Link goes to Dark/Mirror world, Zelda stays in Light world, and you control both of them in their respective worlds and perform tasks that are doable in only one world to help out the other in their world and bounce back and forth to clear obstacles and progress through the game. It's LITEREALLY the best of both worlds.

Random theory. Nintendo is going to do the Legend of zelda game like they've done all pokemon games. You'll have Legend of Zelda and then Legend of Link, they start the same but after the castle splits you can play a one game or the other. And maybe your choices in one game effects how things go in the other idk just spitballing
