I'm concerned if this will set a precedent for other pass-times getting their very own dissorders for anyone that gets addicted to them.
Honestly, their actual description about letting gaming taking such a priority in your life that you dissregard serious consequences sounded perfectly reasonably for a dissorder... except for the fact that none these traits were exclusive to gaming. Addiction can happen to literally any satisfying activity. Gaming just happens to be the biggest target. How many other common activities will get their very own designated addiction dissorders, even though they're all just the same thing? And why does gaming have to take the brunt of it?
