Xbox Spied on Kids

@ZeusBaxter lol, you've never googled weird shit just cuz you were curious. plus looking up one traffic event means you get all the fucked up local news stories. it's useful, but shit, there needs to be a simple means of saying that that activity was not my day to day interests!

@glassquirrel Absolutely, but the only way the algorithm will get better at knowing what my entails day to day is to keep listening to me and drilling down to what my real interests are by aknowledging patterns. Still i agree i can mess up the algorithm but its not just listening to me. And thats to my benefit.

@ZeusBaxter in all honesty, I get it, cuz I'm a little more paranoid than most, and the problem is, like me when I had Facebook apps on my phone, and they started recommending ads and such when I didn't have the app up on my phone that was in my pocket. it's creepy for your phone to recommend something that you weren't interested in, but were talking to somebody about. it feels like a stalker that you just kept giving excuses for, until they felt like it was okay to sit outside your room and give suggestions. I give a lot of leeway, but I accept that there's a line that technology is approaching too quickly in some people's minds.

@ZeusBaxter Great. So you give your privacy away for the future. As long as you opt in. I don't like it when Xbox is recording my conversations when I didn't ask it to. I don't feel stalked so much as I want to feel free to say whatever without being recorded for a corporation's gain (Not that I hate microsoft)
