Here the tea kh3 took around six years of develop that we know of and that’s only if it was being made right after DDD. I wonder tho will tifa be toned down with Sony wanting better representation of women in there games I wonder will her giant boobs be toned down but then everyone is completely faithful to there OG designs. I mean these games take time because there being made from the ground up so I’m fine with it taking a while cause if it’s anything like RE2 remake then I’ll be happy
I remember being 6 when I found my father's finished save on a brand new (repackaged) copy of nintendo's Zelda (the first). Fast forward 8ish years and my father left his game paused at the first of FF7's U.S. endgame bosses. I went ahead and cleared those for him and saved over his only save. Fast forward another couple of years, my Diablo 2 disc went missing. He played that DRM locked game until 32bit became 64bit and microsoft's conversion software would crash it to desktop.
I really want FF8 remake to come!!! but I really hope if that is done in episodes (don't like episodic games) it would be by disk like the original 4 disk game...
@jcripps1990 Square Enix apparently can't remake/remaster ff8 because they don't have the rights to Eyes On Me (the main song in the game) and the original source code was lost or damaged years ago (though in that case they could use the steam version's code)
@MissKazy 1; one song missing should not be a make or break for a game, i'm sure 90% of the fans would be ok if thats all that would have to be cut for a remake. 2; the code is still out there, even if not the og, its not like they having nothing to work with, and if a remake was done in the same vain as 7 they wouldn't really need to know everything from the game as it have to be completely rebalanced anyways. I say this as someone who only ever enjoyed ff8 out of every ff game i've played, god i want a remake sooo badly!
I want it but i want it done right. I played the original back when i was a preteen. Its seriously one of the greatest rpgs ever made. Back when a game had to lean on its systems and storytelling. If they skew things too far for the sake of modern control itlll be a re-imagining rather than a remake. That would be an afront to what the game really was back then. Honestly though i just hope it hits the mark and lots of people that never got to play the original get to play this and see what all us now otaku that this game made are saying when we praise it.
It looks good, but they barely have anything done based on what they showed, and FF7 is a really weird game. I dont envy their task of taking all the random goofy shit sprinkled throughout the original and turning it into a modern gameplay experience.
