EA disabled the ability to buy Boxes in Battlefront 2 before the game even launched in 2017, and never brought them back. Hopefully there is enough backlash here that Activision does the same thing.
I use to not care if a game was only good for a year but now especially in a multiplayer game I always look for the longevity of the game. if I don't think anyone will be playing it a year or 2 from now it's not worth my time or money. this is not worth my time or money
I am okay with exclusivity deals but I think they should be at most be 7 days. This 1 Year exclusivity is absolute insanity and really hurts my chances of buying MW because I own a PC and an Xbox One and have no interest in buying another console. When I buy a game I expect to get 100% of the base game not "99%" of it. It's ironic because a day before the news broke, Me and Friend were talking about how it would be fun to do Survival Mode since the last CoD title I bought was Black Ops 2. Well looks like that idea is not gonna happen anytime soon. I will absolutely not buy this game if there is guns locked behind Loot Crates. Hopefully, Activision sees the potential backlash of this and change the system to be cosmetics only but knowing Greedy Corporations that's not gonna happen.
i was gonna buy this one too. this was gonna be the COD that got me to buy it, then they pull this crap. Oh well there are 100's other games made by good developers and publishers who don't take the entire cookie jar.
So those modes like survival modes are why my dad loves Call of Duty games, as he does not like traditional multiplayer. Explaining this to him as an XBox owner is going to be difficult.
They already did guns in loot boxes in Black Ops 4 with community outrage over the S6 Stingray..... It's probably going to be in every CoD going forward. The player-base isn't going to stop playing the game due to it.
@1104 hate to say it, but gamer outrage is almost fake news at this point. if you don't like the business practices don't buy the product. complaining about it is meaningless, the only voice the matters is that of the meager dollars in our wallets. Rise up! ... economically that is
