Cyberpunk 2077 Held HOSTAGE!

Well they said they contacted the police which would mean if this is a stunt CD Projekt Red could be in alot of trouble :p Unless they made that up to then i guess they just lose alot of credibility and good will? 

Technically (according to the video) the "appropriate legal authorities will be informed about the situation" meaning that they haven't quite gotten to that step. As a publicity stunt of some kind, it's possible to get away with it since they worded it that way. But as you said, it would hurt their credibility and good will to say something like that for an ad campaign. Hopefully it'll blow over, but as a potential fan (I've never played any of their games but this one looks interesting), I would simply avoid spoilers and wait for the official release. Plus early concept work is not representative of the final product.
