Star Wars Battlefront 2 PAY 2 WIN DEFEATED! Or Is It?

My thought's are this. We know there is going to be DLC, because that's what games do now a days. You can either get away with paid DLC or micro transactions. EA can't keep both without an even more massive shit storm

I really don't have that big of a problem with loot boxes but I do have a problem with paying full price for a game with them that contain anything other than cosmetic items. Here's my question for everyone though.  If you're not going to put in the time or the effort to be good at the game, and you're just going to pay your way to the top of the leaderboard, why even play the game in the first place?  What are you getting out of that experience?  The game is no longer about skill at that point but instead who has the bigger pile of disposable income.  Which is fine, I guess, but like I said I'm not paying full price for that experience.  I don't know maybe I'm missing something in all of this.

the move is smart... people will buy the game now and EA will just switch the buying of gems back on... nothing will change! don'T buy it until they really really change something drastic

I'm curious to see how this incident will affect other new games going forward (if at all).

They're going to bring it back once everyone has forgotten about it and people can't return it... Also initial purchases are a major part of what their high-level investors look at, so they're trying to keep them appeased.
