I'd love to meet the moron who approved that trademark, got some beachfront property in Nevada to sell him/her.
Super candy crush saga is looking quite atrocious
Wait, Saga is copyrighted too? When there's absolutely no story involved? Well shit, there goes The Epic Legend of Pong or The Sprawling Tale of Tetris.
oh wait Tetris apparently has a story now. I forgot.
Yeah, I doubt that a trademark on the word super will be able to hold up for long. Then again, you probably would've thought that about saga too.
I'd love to see them try to fight Nintendo's lawyers.
"Made enough money off your mom" XD
Apparently the USA is not yet great again... and trademark registrations are still as shitty as when Intel trademarked the letter "i".
Another "Activision being DICKS" story... surprise, surprise...
no! thats like if a company registered the number 1-9 for there game math brawl, or some shit. you just... no
This just goes to show that unless something is openly and vocally contested, the people making such decisions don't give a fuck about whether the decision makes any sense. In the case of Saga, while it was incredibly stupid, it was still semi-understandable since it isn't a super common word and doesn't show up in a ton of video game titles, while they were making a lot of games that did use it. In the case of Super, however, it is an incredibly common word that is used in every day language, and is used in a ton of video game titles and series that have been around for years, including what is quite possibly the best recognized game series in the world, Super Mario. No one with any knowledge or interest in common sense would have allowed that trademark to go through. Unfortunately politicians and those in charge of laws and policies, tend to be rather deficit in common sense......
