Next Season
Boom Boom Down :)
I still prefer physical copies (suck it, Jon), but I wouldn't mind if Game Stop went down. I stopped using them (when possible) a long time ago and have heard nothing but bad things about them ever since.
But if Game Stop closes, where will I get my Pokemon codes from?
Physical for the win... recently got a Wii second hand with a whole bunch of physical games for my daughter... seeing as she's too young for a switch. Without second hand she'd have no console, not for a good number of more years given how rugged and cheap to replace Wii hardware and games are.
And subscription services have the very real issue of you losing games permanently because the company just removes them from the service because "not enough players are playing it" or other reasons to deprive you of those things you rightfully bought! Just look at the situation with Nintendo for why physical is way better (and why a second hand copy of Mario Kart for the Wii still fetches 25 quid (about 35 US dollars I think?)
I like it! playing old games from time to time rocks
Last time i bought a game from gamestop was in 2015 to buy physical editions for diablo 3. I really hated going back in that place after not going in for almost 3 years prior that. I like the boxes for diablo 3 but i shouldve just gotten them off of amazon. Getting badgered to get a bunch of add ons for a game is not worth getting the physical. Either way I am a PC gamer so i say all digital is a good thing. 95% of my library is digital so i am okay with a full digital future.
