Next Season
While it is good to err on the safe side, most modern electronics and ac adapters have under/over volt protection to prevent frying out electronics.
As for places to get usb type-c and/or battery packs, I would suggest checking out www.monoprice.com (not an ad/not employed there/I just like buying inexpensive equipment)
Looks good :)
THANK YOU! I've been trying to remember where my friend got super cheap USB and HDMI cables for a few years ago, and I can't ask him again without paying for a seance (that's a joke, I don't believe in those)
Thank you for putting this information out there, this was very informative and helpful for me. I have honestly been struggling to find any legitimate information about the power specs for the Switch, this was the first real test I've seen.
Ashley is standing on a box?!? Seems like it would be more appropriate to have Jon standing in a hole.
I actually have a decent portable battery that is good for the most part but I did find a better battery than the one recommended and its a tad cheaper from a company I've trusted for my braided cables Anker: Link
Anker batteries and cables (for phones anyway), are a little more expensive than a lot of competitors, but for good reason! They are really good at replacing faulty packs too.
Pretty sure "too many amps" isn't a thing since a device will only try to draw as much as it needs, but yeah, too much voltage is something to watch out for.
Thanks for the info, Know.
I honestly can't see myself using the Switch's portable mode out of my house. I just feels like an inpractical design for that purpose.
