I get it too.  Not everyone wants to understand computers and to figure what the issue is with running a game.  

There's something I noticed about the competition between PlayStation and Xbox at an international level, namely the fact that their online services operate in 65 and 42 regions/countries respectively.

I'm aware that most of your statistics are US-based and I was wondering where could I get some more stats on how consoles are used around the world.

I mostly want to find out if those extra 23 regions have a significant impact on Sony's revenue and if it gives them an advantage over Microsoft due to their lack of official support in those places.

"traditional" Windows laptop/PC adoption is going down but PC sales are going up because people are buying more than one PC in Asia and Linux is starting to make some inroads simply because East Asians have a greater preference for it - it helps that a lot of their favourite games support Linux (which is not counted in "traditional" ownership stats because there are no "official" ones... more like no-one trusts all of the distros out there to honestly publish their own stats - Windows bias there but oh well.
