Next Season
Not too much of a surprise that it turns out it's water blocking the signal - it's very good at that generally. As to why it affects the left one more, maybe the blue dye has something in it that the red doesn't? Even just a little metal or metal salt could make the difference...
I suppose it would also be how people are holding the controllers and right handers might have a bigger problem with it? Given the difference in shape between the controllers it might be hard to fix that if it is the problem since they're designed to be non-mirrored.
I'd still like the switch to be my first real console. But I'm willing to wait a little bit for any first bugs to get squished out. The story reminds me of something my dad would tell me about certain cars coming out of a manufacturing factory with blown electrical systems. There was some kind of pattern, but the company spent millions trying to figure out the root cause. It was something silly, but I'll have to ask him what the solution was. Maybe there was a problem on the production line for the left controllers, or something in the design?
why mica?
This isn't a deal breaker because I know Nintendo will sort this all out whether they have to do a product recall or patch the issue. What's keeping me from buying a switch is the lack of games and the extensive list of other accessories that I will have to buy to get what I want out of the console. And not including a launch game or any sort of bundles that come with games is a no no for me.
Random little things like this is why I think all controllers should have a "wired" option. That and charging >_>.
Definitely getting a pro controller.
