Devs Forget DRM, Pirates Release FREE

I feel ya Adam.  Words are hard.

Dayum, a naked barbarian simulator comes out, and I'm stuck on my shitty laptop. Fuck me.

There goes my dream of playing as a fully naked muscle-man.

Game is pretty shit atm not worth the buy

Yea, DRM is SOO necessary, and piracy is totally destroying everything.

Can we please just do away with DRM, or at least go back to a very basic CD key? DRM only hurts the paying customer and the developers. It adds costs, complexity, can affect performance, and reduces stability/reliability.

There were pirates in Conan! In fact, one of the original stories was "Queen of the Black Coast", some elements of which were co-opted for the movies!

>Game becomes overwhelmingly successful to the point of not being able to keep up with demand.

It's all theoreticals and loaded statistics until something like this happens and upsets the perception of the necessity and degree to which DRM matters. This may not be a definitive point against it, but I certainly hope this occurrence doesn't go unnoticed.
