EA: Studio KILLER Strikes Again

From what I know, EA are particularly egregious in gobbling up small studios and spitting them back out, ones who are surprise stars or are just starting to grow nicely on the basis of some new very nice engine or software tech. they developed and EA are not above trying every trick in the book, particularly if a company doesn't agree to be bought out or bought off... interestingly in the case of Bullfrog they got a taste of their own medicine since after (many about a year after) they bought the company (which didn't have any major games in the works at the time other than Syndicate Wars and most of whose software tech. was getting a little tired by that point) many of the lead devs, music and art people left to join Lionhead Studios... the company that Peter Molyneux (yes, that Peter Molyneux) founded having left Bullfrog as part of the EA takeover deal... but maybe the main reason they didn't come out of that deal smelling of roses was that Peter Molyneux magic! ;)

Westwood lives on in our hearts, like most of the Golden Age of Strategy Games.

bizarre creations (ive just dragged the dreamcast out to play metropolis street racer again) bullfrog (remember a lot of good amiga games from them) and westwood i really loved the early command and conquer titles remember playing them on my old p120 multiplayer down the pub when i as younger lol

I'll never forgive Activision for Bizarre Creations. How they managed to screw up the company behind Project Gotham and Geometry Wars I'll never know.

im just waiting for 2023 when EA loses EXCLUSIVE rights to star wars games.
