somebody fucked up on the youtube version of this titled video and now a whole different one is shown on the site rip im sure its being fixed as i type lol
you fixed youtube first what is this lol shouldn't the site be a priority
My guess is, since Youtube reaches a larger audience, attracts more casual fans who wouldn't be as forgiving as hardcore fans on the site, and that they probably get considerably more ad revenue from Youtube than they get a cut of First membership fees, they favor Youtube for stuff like this. Hell, there have been two videos in the last month that didn't even get uploaded here. Nothing against them. I understand if this is the case.
Sounds like a good move for Nintendo but it would have been nice for this to come out the same time as the switch.
Having said that, with the launch of the switch and being out of stock everywhere it would have given the same result and most likely some gamers would forget about it. Maybe this way it is a way to build up more hype for the switch while they shore up more stock and sent them out to retailers, I hope.
Here's hoping the competitive price drags XBL and PS+ down to $8/month or $45/year.
I've been wanting to try Zelda forever but don't want to start halfway through with Ocarina or something, but I can't think of many games I'd want to play on NES besides Zelda 1, unless we finally get a western release of the 2D version of Final Fantasy 3. The only way this service would convince me to get a Switch (all other reasons aside) would be the GameCube MGS remake, all the Zelda games up to Wii, and/or Final Fantasy 1-6 or at least 1, 4, and 6.
I understand the appeal of the netflix style service, but I'm not really interested in it personally. I think I've only ever even used the existing model of virtual console a couple times (for Majora's Mask and Paper Mario 64).
The only real way I'd ever become invested in virtual console stuff is if they let you buy a game, and tied it to you account forever, including future consoles. But they would never do that, because they'd probably consider it bad business. Then again, Nintendo's weird, so who knows. I can dream.
