People bash micro transactions for most games but then Overwatch comes out and people dump money into it. They really need to make a decision on it, it's either always OK or it's never OK, excluding pay to win of course. And before people start talking about Overwatch having free maps and toons, it was really only half a game to start not having single player content. I'll accept that argument from games like Gears and CoD that launch with three different game modes but Overwatch doesn't get that pass.
Wow. Just wow.
I don't mind Spencer's stance on singleplayer games. I bought the Withcher 3 when it released, and still haven't played past the tutorial. I'd rather spend those 300 hours of making herbs into potions, reading tomes, playing card games against a cpu, or whatever you do in that game elsewhere. Mainly playing with friends in multiplayer games.
The lack of focus on single-player games is unfortunate, but understandable, given how much money big businesses sink into these projects. It's not like these types of single-player games will ever really go away though. The fewer there are, the more in-demand they'll become. There's a tipping point that will inevitably be found.
Instated of just instantly believing everything you hear, investigate it yourself before you judge. Look at Phil's twitter's and you will see that he been completely out of context.
