So does this mean I can get the Deluxe Edition for, say, $9.99 on Origin?
wow...andromeda fails and gets abandonded. FF14 fails and get double downed and fixed
is just me or because the thumbnails black and white, but why does that Ryder look she's smuggling watermelons to Andromeda...
love that they abandon a game that made money and can make more money by doing what's right and giving is high quality dlc but nope we have to work on our boring grindy destiny game no one asked for. They are one of the last bastions of western rpgs and they are instead making destiny for EA. What's more sad Dragon age 2 was worse game it wasn't abandoned and got dlc
They abandoned their flagship franchise for microtransactions and a Destiny knockoff. To say i'm disappointed in Bioware is an understatement. Bioware has always been against establishing a definitive canon except for side stories in books, like The Illusive Man's past and how Liara got Shepard's body and what went down between Anderson and Saren before Shepard was even born. Continuing the main story with a set canon and no player choice, as they will with comics, is an insult to what Bioware has always stood for.
The book Mass Effect Revelation told the story of what happened between Anderson and Saren. It came out before Mass Effect and was a good prequel to the game.
@pgw_chaos I know. I've read it.
Who wants to bet that this was a 'command decision' by EA so that Mass Effect wouldn't compete with their shitty destiny clone?
While it did have it issues, Mass Effect Andromeda was still a fairly fun game, and there could of been a great game in there if they worked on it a bit more and not released it in "Early AAAccess".
I am not sure if we will ever see a new Mass Effect, it may be another SimCity, Command and Conquer, Wing Commander, or Ultima. (and BioWare may end up like Maxis and Westwood)
Why do you do this Bioware? All I wanted out of Andromeda was to get some Quarians, but now I can't. I mean, it really wasn't THAT terrible of a game to just give up on it so quickly.
When EA bought Bioware back in the day it scared the piss out of me, but then Mass Effect 2 was great! Now I see what happen, they had been working on ME2 before the buy out and after that it's been down hill. EA is a blood sucker. They suck the good out of a things like ME and when done they throw them to the side.
And Mass Effect 3? Besides the ending that game was vastly superior to 2. Plus Dead Space 1 and 2? Battlefield? Way too easy to blame EA, Biowares games had sadly been going downhill before this.
This doesn't surprise me at all. I knew it was inevitable. I'm not complaining at all. My advice guys? Stop bitching about it, move on, and forget about it
