Bethesda PRESSURING Sony For Crossplay!

I'm not sure if you played the wrong footage or mentioned the wrong game but while you mentioned Sony having supported crossplay with FFXIV in the past (which is true between PS4, PC and formerly PS3, they shut down the PS3 service) you showed footage from FFXI. However, FFXI is worth mentioning because it had crossplay between not just consoles but generations! FFXI allowed players from PS2, Xbox 360 and PC to play together.

sony still allows crossplay with pc/ps4 for dcuo, sadly xbone is still in its own server tho

I have a cynical feeling that Bethesda will crack before Sony will, and Bethesda might pull something such as limiting certain features on PS4 just to show that they don't have to play by Sony's rules. I really just want Sony to agree to it, though. I have a PS4 and none of my other friends do, so I'm going to buy an Xbox, Sony. If only I didn't have to move consoles?!

I don't think Sony will do it for Bethesda's hold-out alone. But... if OTHER groups decide to follow suit, and hold out against Sony on the premise of cross-play, then yeah, Sony would cave. It'd just take 2 or 3 to work probably. Also, they'd likely get a narative built around them as being "heroes".

You need a gorilla to push around a gorilla. If Bethesda drops the gauntlet saying that no more Bethesda games will be on PS then they might budge but if it is just the card game, then no chance in hell. We will have to wait and see.

You want Sony on board to do crossplay? Stop releasing your games on Playstation until they do
