There were a lot of broken promises when No Man's Sky launched, particularly around multiplayer and.... the complete lack of it. 2 years later, that's all changing.
i got this game for my birthday, spent too much money for a game i was disappointed by entirely, I will pop the disk in amd check it out, but i dont have high hopes
I didn't pre-order the game when Steam had Single Player on it, and decided to wait for release.
Just to make sure.
now I can get it to play with my brother, who reinstalls for each update and plays

this was a game i was definitely interested in getting but i waited until after launch, and well... heard all the stuff that wasn't in game and ended up not buying it. but definitely curious about playing it now.
I personally find it pretty hard to forgive somebody / a company that has never come out publicly admitted that they lied about the features in the game, and apologize for doing so.
Yes the free updates are good and yes it's good that we're finally getting everything that they told us was in the game 2 years ago but at this point there are so many other Des that work so much harder that don't lie that deserve my money a lot more in my opinion.
it also kind of bugs me how much they say "the game we thought we were going to get"
The issue for me was it was never about the game we thought we were going to get, it was about what we were flat out told we were going to get. this wasn't a mix up or a one-time slip up of a sentence, he blatantly said things over and over again that were totally untrue.
Hi Gus!! I strongly intend on being a first time player if the 'Next' update gives us everything we'd hoped from the start! I actively try to not buy games the first day or so they're out to gauge other's reactions and was super disappointed because this game looked like everything a space-nerd such as myself had wanted from a PC game. Having waited 2 years though, I am super excited to see what it has in store for us and am more than willing to pick up a copy when the latest update is released! <3
