The concept certainly is interesting. With only one online game and none of the nes nostalgia, though, im not sure im gonna go for it. I do agree with Adam, however, in that I really wanted more recent games like the hd zelda remakes to come to switch. Hopefully (if we get it) we wont have to wait thru all the consoles....
i feel as though nintendo online will be something that gets updated in waves, like if what comes out in september is wave one then something like sharing clips would be wave 2 and a virtual console would be wave 3 it does not seem like the kind of thing to just come out without any major updates planned later on. i'll get it but only on the basis that it seems more promising than i originally thought
Good old Ninty again proving how clueless they are in the modern world. Hey guys we are going to charge you to save your games but so we don't look like total aholes here are some free games from 30 years ago. No thanks my hacked one does all of that for free.
I'm torn on whether or not I'm actually going to get the sub for online play. On one hand, I adore playing Mario Kart online and a match of Splatoon here and there... But, I just don't do it often enough to warrant spending money to play online. I suppose when Pokémon finally comes to the Switch, that may mean a sub for the online features, but for now I don't know. I don't need the cloud save stuff, as I take my switch with me wherever I go. So, it's weird. Ah, I'm just torn on this. I say all this now, but I'll probably end up subbing anyway when it comes around.
tentatively, I'm not interested in the subscription service. Gaining access to old games as a service doesn't interest me either, at least not until they start including things up through the GC era. Even then, I'd rather just be able to purchase a download of them that can be accessed regardless of the subscription service. Holding their ONLY alternative game-saving option (cloud) behind the pay wall is kind of obnoxious. I'd rather have offline backup options available anyways, y'know, like those memory cards from 2 decades ago which have somehow become some sort of "lost technology".
