Crap, I'm at university right now and did the Uncle mission. I better go back and make sure they didn't get kicked in the head by a horse. Or burned to death.
Guess I dodged a bullet cause I did that mission first try and haven’t had any issues. I know John is there cause he was the watch the camp one day and I talked to jack and Abigail. Might need to check on Sadie.
So speaking of bugs I’ve been finding that sometimes when I try and launch the game it’ll just take me to a black screen and freeze and then I have to quit out of the game and when I go to relaunch it my Xbox one shuts off
this explains why in Chapter 3 i can't find Jack and Sadie to complete some companion item missions, but i did have sadie for one mission in chapter 3 "Further Questions of Female Suffrage" before i noticed her and everyone else missing
This is a classic type of bug to get through beta testing - it's caused by the beta testers being too good, having played the game again and again and not making mistakes, particularly in the earlier stages of the game but it's also often assumed that the early stages of the game are less likely to have bugs because the testers play through them so much more than the later stages of the game (or use chapter skip "cheats" to "waste" less time getting to the less tested parts of the game). So normally this type of bug happens most in the very early stages and the late stages of games (the other parts of the game are usually subject to other types of bugs (a classic mid-game is getting items earlier than normal that can cause unintended consequences - e.g. explosives that cause debris to leave the map area and enter undefined space - often a hard crash or major glitches.) In more serious software industries (industrial control systems etc.) there are different testing teams for alpha and beta as well as sometimes more than one team for beta and they tend to be organised so that sections of software are tested equally and inter-section testing is even more thoroughly tested as that is where bugs are most likely to happen (e.g. NASA's mission to Mars that missed because they converted miles to kms even though the other teams had already used kms or every security software firm's assumption that Intel had done hyperthreading correctly rather than just trying for speed to get better numbers than AMD and causing billions of processors to become obsolete (from a security standpoint) overnight.)
Oh hey, I bet that's where they went, I was kinda wondering why I hadn't seen these characters around camp, I accidentally shot the dude who was with Karen, so I had to restart, and I definitely didn't want to do the whole mission, that sucks.
