I like a good story but if it heavy-handed with its points then it sounds like most USAian sci-fi and so I'll be sticking with rather more attractive subtle story telling of a European style thanks... I'm smart enough to work the points out myself thanks. For those of you who want a parallel (but this will only work for some), it's like the difference between Hercul Poirot or Sherlock Holmes telling you exactly how the murder was committed (and often hiding crucial details during the story that the "heros" know) versus Inspector Morse or Inspector Rebus giving you pieces along the way but giving you the chance to work it out before the villain caught and them expecting you to have worked out how it happened (but also having given you all the details you need to make the deduction yourself alongside the "hero").
It's disappointing but most mainstream storytelling in games is the batter you over the head like you're a total retard type rather than the more eloquent, work it out for yourself type - the main exceptions to that being the primary reason it is so obvious e.g. "A Way Out".
