A bunch of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds hackers are facing the music! Following a bunch of arrests, a group of hackers are facing millions of dollars worth of fines for damaging the game.
The crackers and cheaters deserve everything they get - it should not be the dev's and players who suffer for the crimes of these d*cks. If they were in the real world they would face jail time as a certainty, just because they are online doesn't give them the right to avoid the penalties. What I find interesting is that Chinese dev's (E.G. TenCent) and the Chinese authorities are taking the lead in this - makes you wonder if they (of all governments) have the best grip on how impactful all of this is on the population!! Which is ironic given they are also the ones who want the greatest grip over the Internet as a whole :/
@RiverRunning the cheaters should get a small fine, and destroyed their game license so they couldn't access the game... but damn people getting their information stolen, or even is at risk at it, well saying they deserve it is a little harsh (for me).
@thorrium The problem with small slaps on the wrist for them is that they regularly buy new copies of games they get banned from so they can keep trolling - clearly a small fine (from having to buy another copy of the game) is not a deterrent... and might also be noted that in the real world if you cheat at game playing you risk everything from actual expulsion from friend and family circles to being beaten up to being locked up in jail depending on the venue where you cheat... from with friends and family to more social situations to gambling and doing con tricks... a sixty quid fine is less of an impact than all of those (especially for those willing to pay for the cheats in the first place, clearly).
all cheaters should be arrested, pubg needs to keep it out, I absolutely HATE people who suck the fun out of games and personally i think they get off easy, They should all face a firing squad
Too bad its too late, its understood the game will never reach the quality it was said to be aiming for and instead we get this mediocre barely better than h1z1. And also this doesnt scratch the surface of the cheating market for PUBG, they waited so long and even defended hacking as a culture thing that they will never beable to stop everyone.. And its their own fault.. Must be salty willingly destroyed the market outside China, meanwhile Fortnite continually makes number PUBG was getting the first 6 months.. Without the failure of PUBG and Fortnite there to take the place we wouldnt be in this odd state where everyone who shit on fortnite within 4 months of EA release are all know playing and saying its the best game ever, but not much has changed.. That shows how retarded and driven by pop culture the majority of the players are.. Only playing a game once its broadcast all over Twitter, those same people think the game is full release, shouldn't have to say anymore about that. Brendan totally fucked over all his employees Basically wants people to pay for a game that wants to be a F2P game meanwhile the proper use of the tools are happening at Epic. Im surprised people are even reporting on this.. Im sure deadmau5 cares and the 100 other people from the US, but nobody else does... Those arrests didn't even stop the companies selling hacks, just like child porn industry, or the mob, go ahead arrest this person and that person but the infrastructure is still their for the next guy to take over... This story is totally trying to hide all that and make it positive.. Brendan thinks his company is Valve or something.. and even as good as Valve is they still barely ever ban cheaters and hackers.
@FromSkinToLiquid Also not even a mention of the ransomware with their games and company name plastered all over that.. That whole thing really is fishy any other company would spend billions hunting down the creator and eliminating its existence like Nintendo did with everything related to that pikachu virus years ago. Almost seems like bluehole created it simply to force folks to play so they can get better concurrent numbers, but whoever coded the fucking thing was a hack.. thing barely works but it still encrypts your files.
@FromSkinToLiquid You sound like you have the world's largest chip on your shoulder ... I'm not saying Fortnite or PubG or anyone involved with them is good or bad but just what you sound like. Maybe try to be a little less ranty? ;)
