The Division 2 doesn't just have a standard and collector's edition--it has 6 DIFFERENT VERSIONS, and players are concerned that some of them offer unbalancing advantages in-game.
While the rest of the stuff is pretty annoying I don't get why you dis DLC maps going to everyone, if you have a problem with how overpriced dlc is then don't buy it.
so i put hundreds of hours into the first game, stash is the most important part of the game and now this confirms im not touching this game with a 10ft pole lol
Aaahhh ubisoft... you really want to get ahead of EA in 'worst video game publisher out there' don't you?
Personally I'll be waiting to play the division if ever at all, because for every overpriced money grabbing AAA out there, a bunch of indie titles with more interesting and unique offerings exist. Can't even remember the last time I bought a AAA game that wasn't at 75% discount or simply a GOTY edition to make sure I didn't overpay with season pass and other DLC. And to tell the truth... it doesn't harm your experience at all, I might even pick up the division 1 in a sale shortly after release just to see the story mode of it, and I won't be missing out on anything other than I'll be saving myself some $$$ compared to the people that bought it early.
Now to wait for the Battlefield V release to see how much of a hole EA can dig themselves into.
Nice piece with the info guys, short and to the point :)
I love how game publishers think that gamers can't tell when they're being milked arbitrarily for cash.
If you honestly *need* to sell 15 cents worth of plastic for 130$ to 1000 die hard fanboys & fangirls just to stay afloat than yours is a failed business model.
I have no interest in the game to begin with, but something like inventory capacity is a very strange thing to put behind a pay-wall, even if it's "supposed" to be just a bonus. Something that functional to the gaming experience doesn't really belong in the "bonus material" category.
No one seemed to complain about Escape From Tarkov having tiered inventory caps depending on how much you paid for it. I guess it's just the type of gamer who tends to play it? But complaining about being able to pay for more inventory space feels very entitled to me. Also, if you're complaining that the only thing you get with the week of early access is the story, you are exactly the opposite of who they said it was intended for, so don't buy it. They specifically said you are not the target audience.
