Every month Xbox Live, PS Plus, and Twitch Prime offer you free games to keep you subscribing. If you pay for any of those, here are the free games you can claim this month!
PS+ was not late, it's exactly part of the plan. How PSN does it is they announce games the Wednesday before the first Tues of the month and the games will always be free on that first Tues. The announcement won't be on the 1st again until May 1st 2019 and Jan 1st 2020. Other than that, they will always land on the last Wednesday of the month until 2020 (I haven't checked on dates in that year, but it's not hard to figure out when you understand the pattern).
To prove the point, here's a list of all dates PS+ games will be announced to the end of 2019, and their corresponding availability dates (assuming the pattern remains as it is, also unsure about holidays):

I want to see more asymmetric co op games. Like Clandestine on pc. My friend and I loved playing that game. I was the hacker and she was the agent. I would love to see The Know play it. And Play Pals, and Battle Buddies lol.
