Pokemon Let's Go has been officially revealed with Pikachu and Eevee versions, but some of its features have gamers concerned this won't be fun for traditional Pokemon fans.
I'm interested in the game, but I'm mostly really happy they announced a main game coming in 2019. I've been looking forward to a Pokémon game on the Switch since the console released, but if this was the main game I'd be extremely disappointed that we were only getting 151 Pokémon in the game when they have hundreds more than that.
You can see that the go section references go park, if I was to hazard a guess I’m thinking it might go the Pokémon stadium route and just let you look at them and maybe do battle outside the main game.
Am really curious how the mobile <-> switch transfer will go. I'm hoping that it will be done in something like the following way:
- Pokemon imported TO the Switch have a level depending on the amount of badges you have/story progression, lets say 5 lvls per badge; So if you import a pokemon after the first badge its level 6, after the eight badge it would be level 41.
- Regarding the pokedex completion, it would also be great if you could only import the pokémon that appear in the wild in the areas you've already visited/and depending on the story progress (for say the legendaries/fossils).
@LennartdeVries The main games let you just shove your living national dex, if you have one, through pokebank and autocomplete the dex anyway, while loading up on more battle-points than you can spend. I don't think they'll restrict it. They might, but I'd be surprised.
Sorry if this is the second reply to this from me. I accidentally reloaded my page before I could send it, and tried sending before it finished, but I'm not seeing the first one. Not sure what happened there.😅
Edit: It was the second one, sorry. Deleted it. Pretty much the same as this one, but more poorly written.
I'm interested but also wary. I need to see more before I can give much more of an opinion because I have a lot of questions. It looks interesting and I will likely keep looking out for it as we learn more.
On the one hand, no new mainline Pokemon game, which is kinda meh. On the other hand, I wanted to get a Switch at some point anyway, and Eevee's pretty adorable.
Seems like Let's Go will be more casual, but the 2019 Pokemon RPG might be OG pokemon hardcore. Also seems like that two pokeballs insta catches the pokemon no wiggle. I saw the wiggle during the trailer and when they smack that clefairy with two it gets insta-caught.
