NBA 2K19 Punishes Players With Microtransactions!

haven't bought a 2k a game since 2k16 due to this reason.

I wonder just how much money 2k threw at the reviewers?

I don't play sports games but my personal rule is if I'm going to play a game with pay-to-win mechanics in it then I'm not going to pay full price on top of that. To me that's tantamount to a snake oil salesman.

Sounds like EA isn't the only publisher that's decided to gouge the fuck out of you with MTX to the detriment of players everywhere...

Ugh. And the amount of people that support this stuff. Makes Blizzard, Riot, Epic and Hi-Rez look like saints even though what they do for cosmetics is pretty shit too.

I don't see why this is talked about so much, half of this series is videos like this. Like really who cares, there is no discussion here the developers can make any game they want with any features, they don't care about your complaints as long as it makes money at the end of the day. If you don't like it then don't buy it.... I think the people complaining about this have forgotten that video games are a business just like any other business, its about making money and keeping your investors happy. They are creating a product that you have the option of buying or not. 2k doesn't care if you haven't played and 2k game in 4 years because of micro-transactions and no one else cares either. Just don't buy it and move on.

Until EA can make a decent basketball game, this BS isnt going anywhere, unfortunately. I actually dont remember them ever apologizing last year. I remember them saying they are going to double down on the money grabbing, and they appear to have held true to their word. The monopoly needs to be toppled. These monopolies and exclusive deals with leagues are whats really killing almost every sports series.

i mean the whole situation is rather simple, and i honestly dont fully blame the company for it. if the majority is ok with or likes the way these micro transactions are going then they will buy them and the system will make money (as it has been), if people are truly mad and fed up with such a system then they wont buy the micro transactions. if you play the game and purchase micro transactions and then cannot proceed to complain about the micro transaction system, and if you do then you are a fool because you are literally apart of the very problem you are complaining about, and you in ever way have the power to fix the problem.
