To me this just seems like a petty move by a company who's pissed off that their terribly designed and extremely overpriced controller didn't sell well. Who buys controllers for tablets anyway? I'll be shocked if anything comes of this.

this is why we can't have nice things. As if trying new things in a large industy isn't risky enough. I love Nintendo for being willing to put up with this crap just to try something different.

With the way the GameVice looks I wouldnt be surprised if microsoft went after them for making it look like the xbox controllers. (same colors and button lay out).

Over all its going to come down to the way the patents are written and the fine print buried in each one. But from a rough understanding of patent law Nintendo should be fine because GameVice is attaching as RadiationZack10 said to tablets phones etc... while the Switch is for Switch only. This will come down to technology as well which Nintendo supposedly has patented with the 3D rumble in the JoyCons. Overall 2 Different products aimed at different markets GameVice is just sad that theirs failed while Nintendo's has succeeded.

Gamevice has between zero and no chance of winning this. There have been attachable controllers like this since before their patent was filed; as such their patent can not have been based upon the attachable ness of the controllers but more so the way in which it attaches as well as how it was manufactured; both of which are radically different from how the JoyCons attach and are manufactured.
