A couple of years ago this was exactly what the politicians in the UK and USA were also doing - "We need to pay our politicians more to encourage them to do more than the twenty hours of work they do a week" say all the politicians.

This is why the whole concept of shareholding is ultimately extremely short-sighted and blind to anything but money; essentially it's great for selfish dicks and not even a lot of them in the long-term, only the richest ones and everyone else is fucked... shareholding is the best idea that Satan / Beelzebub / Beetlejuice wishes he invented.

It's good to explain these things from time to time for those who don't know about it. It's good for gamers to get pissed off when games are deliberatly made worse than they should be, but it's important to direct that anger at the correct people. It just really sucks for everyone that gets caught in between.
