If they announce a new Playstation they really do risk cutting their sales of Ps4 because if there is a new console why bother with the old one. For a ps5 I really don't have many requests. More powerful hardware. Better frame-rate, resolution. The only real upgrades that I want would be software such as cloud game implementation or ID change. I would like a playstation elite controller though.
Love the longer, more discussion based format! The news reads are great, but the discussions from the podcast are certainly what I look forward to every week!
I personally enjoyed this format of video more than the usual; the news reads can feel often very impersonal and insincere, but this video felt more genuine. Regarding the PS5, I hope it doesn't release soon! I'm happy with my PS4, and look forward to upcoming games. I definitely think they should ride it out until at least 2020.
What I would want the most from a PS5 console, aside from the general improvements that come with a new generation, is an option for a larger controller. The current controllers just don't fit comfortably in my hands.
The video seems like it might need a few rough edges smoothed out, but I like the general approach of it. It felt like a mini-podcast, like a small conversation cleanly sliced out of Glitch Please, which is good imo.
as for the PS5. 2018, no. 2019, maybe, but possibly rushed. 2020 seems about right.
I like the format of this for things that really deserve a more in depth look. There are may times that a issue or news item would be given a disservice by simply listing the bullet points of the news and having a longer form segment gives it the coverage that it is due. That said, I want The Know to be unbiased, fact only, speculation free news and to save the deeper discussion for Glitch Please where you can go deeper into speculation or inference on an item. I find the round table discussion with specifically Gus, Ashley, and Adam to be a highlight of my week. This can serve as a good bridge between these formats but would not want it to shift either of the others as I find them more valuable.
