President Donald Dump calls for focus on mental health after 18th mass shooting of 2018.
But, wait...
Literally one of the orange clowns first acts as president was to allow the mentally ill to easily purchase weapons. If there is anyone too blame, its this shithole president! Blame Donald Dump for signing a bill in February 2017 allowing people with mental issues, to be able to easily buy guns legally.
Source?
I hate trump too, and he should not have undone that regulation, but the person responsible is the asshole that did it. There are plenty of factors that probably made things worse and I generally believe that trump is one of them, but the shooter pulled the trigger and must be held fully responsible.
That being said all of trumps hypocrisy drives me insane.
edited for clarity...and a comma
@sliceslemons Most likely they are referring to Trump rescinding the law that prevented people who handed over control over the personal finances, from owning a gun. For whatever reason people decided that those people are mentally ill, and deserved to be barred from gun ownership, despite no study showing a correlation between those people and violence.
Beyond that, we can certainly talk about gun control, but we do not need to make things up. Gun rights people are watching, and when they see people say these kinds of things, they decide that gun control people cannot be trusted.
Thanks for that clarification, discussions on topics such as this need clarity.
This is getting rather tiresome.
Politicians have used video games as a scapegoat for years when the research that is put in to prove it people find benefits to playing video games instead of video games being harmful.
I'm with Jon, I do that weird thing about making friends too when I play video games.
Never ceases to amaze me how quick politicians are to blame inanimate objects and suggest outlandish ideas instead of doing something practical, like enforcing the laws we already have.
I live in Northern Kentucky and it really upsets me when this man goes around saying things like that just to legitimize the mindset of his base voters in the rest of the state. This bell maker turned politician came into Kentucky and has since royally screwed over the working class of this state with eliminating different programs that help to bring other businesses into the state.
I'm assuming that politician's "finishing them off" bit was referring to games where a player can be "downed" (with the opportunity of an ally picking them up) before they bleed out or are shot again to be permanently out. It's a pretty common game mechanic that, to a lot of people, could appear to be pretty much what he described.
Not that I'm agreeing or defenind him, I just wanted to understand the context of that comment.
Again? Morons, the problem is not caused by video games. I was bullied for 11 years straight in school, had easy access to firearms, and played video games all the time, no mad shooter here.
The only thing people never accurately list in these articles are the involvements of parents in the individuals lives. If I hadn't had good parents, I might have been one.
Jon is the perfect person for Game News when it's some shitty news. He somehow makes it a lot more palatable with his incredible sarcasm.
